NEWINGTON SNT – COMMUNITY UPDATE

Newington Safer Neighbourhoods Team has been working proactively to tackle reports of squats in and around Hillingdon Street.
 

Following coordinated action with partner agencies, officers attended several locations this week. Two individuals were arrested for immigration offences, and appropriate referrals have been made to the relevant authorities.
 

All affected buildings have now been secured to prevent further unlawful entry, helping to improve safety and reduce antisocial behaviour in the area.
 

We’ll continue to work closely with residents, Southwark Council, and housing providers to address concerns and keep Newington a safe place to live and work.
